FOBAB 2015 Recap
The sleet and snow couldn’t stop thousands of devout beer drinkers from checking out the almost limitless selection of wood- and barrel-aged beers available at FOBAB 2015. The highly acclaimed festival, organized by the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, is in its 13th year and seems to be growing stronger each year. Craft beer junkies are treated to a day of sampling some of the most unique and rare beers ranging from stouts to barleywines and sours. This year it took 59 pages to list everything available for sampling at the fest. Here are a few brews from that list that stood out to us (in no particular order).
THR Favorites
Spiteful Brewing – Malevolence: Chocolate Caliente (Russian Imperial Stout)
Scratch Brewing Co. – Single Tree Hickory (Sour Ale)

Finally, we’d like to congratulate all of the winners at this year’s event. With the number of entries in each category, it’s no small feat to take home some FOBAB hardware!
