A Minnesota brewery, Grain Belt, created a can topper that’ll split your beer in half so you can share it with your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day, because what’s more romantic than sharing a beer? They’re 3-D printed in red nylon plastic, and they sell for $12.90 a piece, in case you’ve waited until now to buy your significant other a gift.
Diamonds for Your Beer
Mantra Artisan Ales just released a beer brewed with butternut squash, sweet potatoes and spices, then dry hopped over 45 carats of diamonds, to help with filtration. It’s named Miel de Diamant, or Honey Diamond.
Sweetwater Holds Up Bet
After losing a bet to Boston Beer Company over the outcome of this year’s Super Bowl, Sweetwater Brewing Company renamed its 420 Ale as the Patriots Extra Pale Ale. Their tweet this Thursday showed off their new tap handle.
Barrel-Aged Chocolate Cake Stout
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Coronado Brewing Company released a Barrel-Aged German Chocolate Cake Imperial Stout. It’s the first beer with their new logo and redesign, and features espresso, toffee, chocolate and vanilla bourbon flavors.
Beer Robot in the Airport
The Pyramid Taproom at the Oakland International Airport is using a robot to greet its customers and sell them beer. The robot draws huge crowds with its oversized eyes and flashing lights, and has a touchscreen on its chest.
