Best Beer Fridges of 2024
Fun with fridges!

Working for a beer magazine has its perks. We love trying new beers that brewers across the country send us. It’s one of the best ways to keep up with what’s new and hot in the industry (that and Instagram, of course).
So we need a serious beer fridge to keep up with all the hazies, American IPAs, light lagers, pilsners, dark lagers, Oktoberfests, imperial stouts, pastry sours, and award-winning beers coming out of the over 9,500 breweries across the country.
And if you’re like us, someone dedicated to caring for their precious liquid treasures, having a top-of-the-line beer fridge is at the top of your mind.
Because what goes into a good beer fridge? Why good beer, of course. So a good beer fridge should have a temperature range of thirty-eight to fifty-five degrees Fahrenheit, as that’s the range the Brewer’s Association’s Beer and Food Course recommends for storing beer. However, the ideal temperature depends on the beer style, so having a variable temperature is a nice feature.
Beyond that, a good beer refrigerator should be able to fit bottles or include adjustable shelving to work for a variety of packaging styles.
Also, a glass door is handy because it lets you look at your beer collection from afar. A sleek design or a fridge with some type of unique artwork doesn’t hurt either. Lastly, it also has to fit in your budget, of course.
Below, find our list of our favorite beer fridges of the year.
The Best Beer Fridges of 2024
Best Overall: Newair® 126-Can Freestanding Black Beverage Fridge
Best Overall – Here’s the thing: There are over 9,500 breweries in the United States now. That’s a lot of beer to drink! And just like any great brewer has a top-of-the-line cold box to keep all their packaged beer fresh and cold, you need a beer fridge up to the task of taking care of all the beer you’re bringing home.
A classic of Newair, the global leader in high-quality beer fridges, this best-selling fridge has all the bells and whistles.
It’s a best-seller for a reason, right?
Adjustable shelves let you customize your storage for bottles and cans. And you have many options, with space to store over twenty full six-packs (126 cans total).
It’s a central feature of this beer fridge. And honestly, why Hop Culture has always been impressed with Newair.
In fact, here at the magazine, we loved this classic fridge so much that we nabbed one for our own office.
The innovative SplitShelf ensures we can fit whatever sized package a brewery sends us. Often, breweries send us 16oz cans, but we also get packages of 750mL bottles, 12oz cans, 19.2oz cans, and even crowlers. This fridge can handle it all.
With the adjustable shelves, we can set up the fridge exactly how we want. Now we have 126 cans sitting snugly in a perfectly cooled, hella-polished fridge. Everything from West Coast and hazy IPAs to pilsners, kölschs, and Mexican lagers, even märzens, ESBs, and porters are at our fingertips.
The seven-setting thermostat lets you control how cool you want your refreshments while the double-paned doors ensure your beers stay cold.
Plus, the sleek onyx black means this beer fridge will go great wherever.
If you’re looking to upgrade your den, add that final touch to your game room, or simply, like me, find a fridge that can meticulously take care of all the cans and bottles you love, Newair and Stone have created the perfect cold companion.

Weight: 62.85 lbs
Capacity: 126 12oz cans
The Smartest Fridge: Rocco Super Smart Fridge
This is the beer fridge of the future. Have you ever thought hey, peanut butter would be great with jelly? Or that vacuums would be great with robots? How about that bar carts would be great as beer fridges?
The Rocco Super Smart Fridge holds up to 27 bottles of wine, 88 twelve-ounce cans, or 120 thin cans while also doubling as a bar cart on top.
A patent-pending sight system app controls this fridge with a touch of a button, including showing you inventory, turning the lights on and off, and setting the temperature.
Yes, 2024!
This is called your next-level bar game.
The only con we see is that the fridge is pretty heavy—150 pounds with packaging—so you should probably set it and forget it with this one. Plan ahead! However, Rocco says it’s because the fridge is made out of steel three times thicker than anything else on the market, so the word durable might come to mind. More challenging to move, yes? But will it last a lifetime? Probably also, yes.
Dimensions: 16”D x 24”W x 34.5”H
Weight: 150 lbs
Capacity: 88 12oz cans
A ‘Fan’ Favorite: Whynter Beverage Refrigerator
This fridge has some serious cooling power. A powerful compressor and internal air-cooling system create the ideal chilled environment for your beverage babies—anywhere from thirty-four to forty-three degrees Fahrenheit.
You’ll also find a little bit more customization when it comes to the shelves here, with one half-sized and four full-sized slide-out aluminum shelves that you can easily reposition depending on how you want to stack your cans.
Everything stays insulated behind the UV-safe glass and sleek silver and black design.
It’s not even like you’re paying that much more here, which is probably why Food & Wine rated this fridge their top of 2024.
If it’s good enough for Food & Wine, well it’s certainly on our radar.
Dimensions: 20″D x 19″W x 33″H
Weight: 61 lbs
Capacity: 121 12-oz cans
Best Value: hOmeLabs Beverage Refrigerator and Cooler
At a sub-$300 price (at least if you buy at Walmart 😉), this fridge fits perfectly in the best-value category. You’d be hard-pressed to find another fridge of this size (holds 120 cans ) at this price.
Plus, this hOmeLabs Beverage Refrigerator still gives you pretty much all the standard features—easy touch temperature control, which goes down to thirty-four degrees Fahrenheit, a digital display and memory function, whisper-quiet motor so you can keep the fridge in any place without getting POed by the noise, and three removable shelves for drink customization.
Dimensions: 17.3”D x 18.9”W x 33.3”H
Weight: 68.3lbs
Capacity: 120 cans
Best for Small Spaces: Antarctic Star 60-Can Mini Fridge
If price is on your mind, the Antarctica Star mini fridge might fit the bill. It’s relatively small, so it won’t take up much space or take a bunch of dollar bills out of your wallet. The flip side, however, is that it’s definitely on the smaller side, but it still packs a punch. At 1.6 cubic feet, the Antarctic Star fridge is certainly compact, but it holds a respectable sixty standard 12oz cans.
Removable shelving means you can set up the fridge to your liking. And for the design-conscious, a double-paned glass door and soft blue LED light add a touch of sleekness to this cooler. Actually, the glass is multi-functional, protecting against beer-damaging UV rays and maintaining the ideal humidity level inside. Plus, you can control the temperature anywhere between forty to sixty-one degrees Fahrenheit, so you can be attentive to whatever style you want to store.
For the best bang for your buck, this one is hard to beat.

Best Splurge: Wine Enthusiast Prestige Smart Wi-Fi Wine and Beverage Center
Maybe one day we’ll make our own beer fridge. If anyone reading this makes beer fridges, hit us up! But until then, we’ll just have to watch excellent publications like Wine Enthusiast do their thing.
And boi, did they do their thing!
More state-of-the-art fridge than any others on the list, this tall, sleek beauty holds 140 standard 12-oz cans or 50 9” bottles.
Technology plays a part here (as it should) with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities that connect to an app so that you can control and monitor the temperature of your fridge from your phone.
Having said all this, the Wine Enthusiast fridge has been designed with wine in mind, so it’s probably best if you have a collection of both.
Or, you could treat that wine section to store some of your wild ale, mixed-ferm, or pastry sours.

Most Fun: Newair® Prismatic™ Series 85-Can Beverage Fridge
Beers come in all different colors, and so do our personalities. Sometimes, we want to drink a Baltic porter because it’s been a tough week, and we haven’t seen the sun for two weeks, so we feel a little dark inside.
Other times, we feel so sunny and just want to crush a kölsch by the pool (we don’t have one, but we can dream).
To match the mood, Newair created one of its best-selling fridges with RGB HexaColor™ LED Lighting. Are you wondering what the hell that means? You’re not alone.
According to Newair, it’s a “hexagon-inspired design with two zones of vibrant RGB lighting that seamlessly blends with your style.”
You can choose from over fifty different color combinations and ten preset Dynamic mode effects—all remote-controlled, too.
We know it may seem silly, but we actually think it’s kind of cool.
Speaking of cool, you’ll still find all the incredible temperature control features, customizable shelving for 126 12-oz cans, and durability that we love with a Newair fridge.
If you want to have a little fun with your beer fridge, this one is for you.
