Big Beer Theft
Last Saturday, it was announced that five men were caught on camera stealing 40 thousand dollars’ worth of beer from a Houston, Texas-based Budweiser distributor named Silver Eagle Distributors before the Super Bowl. Police say it’s likely all of the stolen beer has already been sold through local convenience stores and ended up in the hands of the public.

George Washington Beer
Bent River Brewery of Rock Island, Illinois is recreating one of George Washington’s old beer recipes. It’s only got three ingredients: water, molasses and hops, and was fermented with yeast.
Jester King Fair Isle Collab.
Jester King Brewery of Austin, Texas has teamed up with Fair Isle Brewing of Seattle, Washington to produce a collaborative Farmhouse ale brewed with locally foraged fireweed (a wildflower) from Washington. It’ll be released next week in both Seattle and Texas.
Left Hand Nitro in Cans
Finally, Left Hand Brewing Co. of Longmont, Colorado is releasing their Nitro Milk Stout in cans. Left Hand was the first company who figured out how to bottle nitro beers, and now they’ve adapted the technology to cans.
Zima is Back
Hot on the trail of the 90s product reboots, MillerCoors is bringing back their clear malt beverage Zima. It’s not beer, it’s not liquor, but we’re not exactly sure what it is. Zomething different, for sure.
